Hi Radio and Internets,
CFYT Vice Prez Jen here, just flew back from the ultra-cosmopolitan metropolis of Saskatoon and boy do I have a big ol’ stack of new records I am just raring to play on these here airwaves. Feels good, feels great. CFYT took a bit of a holiday too but this weekend things are back in full swing– what a way to start the year.
So many things rhyme with ten that I’m actually so overwhelmed by potential subject lines for this post that I had to just keep it simple so my head didn’t explode with jokes. It’s a living.
Welcome to a fresh new year at CFYT radio. We’re in the double-digit decades now, and I hope everyone had a lovely holiday season and is enjoying the year thus far. There are some changes in the CFYT schedule these days, including the triumphant (and long overdue) return of Fish and Brewis hosted by CFYT board secretary Georgia Fraser on Friday nights and the recently added Eat My Shorts with Caili starting off Saturday afternoons. Big ups to all those hardcores who stuck around for December to offer some holiday programming and thanks especially to CFYT station manager Aaron Burnie for holding it all together. Most of our DJs have returned from holiday travels, so we have a nice bustling schedule this weekend and I, for one, am looking very forward to jamming out.
